Now that we've started these ministries we are spending our time keeping up with them. We're always looking for new ways of reaching and training the people. Visit our weblog to follow our current adventures.
October '07: Began first Kids' Bible Club.
September '07: Began the Discipleship School.
August 13, '07: Merged the three Bible studies in Abepura.
August 6, '07: Began another new Bible Study in Abepura.
July 29, '07: First Church Service in Sentani!
June 12, '07: Was asked to begin preaching to secular university students in Abepura.
June 18, '07: Began trial-run of Discipleship School.
March 13, '07: Began a Bible Study in Abepura.
September 14, '06: Began first Bible Study in Sentani (where we live).
May '05-Feb. '06: Studied the language of Indonesia in Bandung, Indonesia.
Jan. 27, '05: Finished deputation and flew to Indonesia.
Nov. '04: Josh ordained to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ by Freedom Baptist Church.
Sept. '03-May '04: Studied linguistics, culture and other helpful tools at Baptist Bible Translators Institute.
June 16, '02: Sent by Freedom Baptist Church in Copperas Cove, TX for deputation.
Deputation is the process of visiting churches of like faith and presenting our burden for Indonesia. Our main goal on deputation was to get prayer support because we realize that we cannot do anything without God's power. Josh was on the receiving end of many prayer warriors when he went to the Sydney Olympics to pass out literature with a group in 2000. He said it was like being on the other end of a fire hose, and we desperately desire the same kind of power for the work here in Indonesia. We also gathered financial support for living here and also funds for the ministry while on deputation. God has faithfully supplied our every need.
